I would love to find out some day how the porn industry even operates.

The idea that there are enough people out there who pay for porn to keep the industry afloat is mindblowing. Is it all just ad revenue from the porn YouTube knockoffs?

I´d wager that since you have companies like MindGeek who control half the market, they do a mixed cost calc and lose money on the vanilla stuff, while the big money comes from the extreme fetish stuff, thus making money again. It may also be possible that we are underestimating the number of sales channels, or that they are selling data, but that´s just a guess. If you look to "private" performers on e.g. Chaturbate, they have their audience and simulate personal interactions with them, which are paid for. But yeah, interesting question indeed.

Maybe I'm just hopelessly vanilla or out of touch, but it's just...so easy to find...and free. The idea that people would pay for it at all is interesting at the very least and borders on incredibly weird to me.

I had no idea that so many brands were operated by the same parent entity. Per Wiki: "Internet entrepreneur Fabian Thylmann bought both companies in 2010, changed their name to Manwin, and went on an acquisition spree thereafter with financing from Colbeck Capital to buy out many other popular pornographic websites."

Curious what that IC deck from Colbeck looks like lol

I think it's crazy that people pay for porn as well. What's even crazier is that people pay for soft porn by giving money to Twitch streamers and girls on similar platforms. If I had to guess I think for a lot of people who just use the free stuff it's impulsive, both for those who pay it's an obsession and/or addiction and the industry capitalizes on their vulnerabilities

I’m a fun guy. Obviously I love the game of basketball. I mean there’s more questions you have to ask me in order for me to tell you about myself. I'm not just gonna give you a whole spill... I mean, I don't even know where you're sitting at
