Career Resources
What’s your question? Theyre all mediocre schools that I personally wouldnt want to go to. You should wait until you actually have acceptances/rejections though.
Also, you should’ve applied to some ivies, because you never know.
NYU is a great school
For IB, NYU and BC are your best options. You could grind your ass off at Fordham and maybe St. John's in order to get into IB as well. The others are much more of a reach as far as I know. In my humble opinion, I would give much more weight to whether or not you have to take out loans vs. if the school is good for IB. Try to get out of school with as little debt as possible. Four years is a long-time and you could change your mind about what you want to do. Also is dangerous to become indebted and then have to be chained to a high-stress job in order to make your payments. DISCOUNT prestige 100% as it is completely worthless. Only you know your finances so choose wisely and don't make a decision based on meaningless factors (like prestige) that you will regret when you graduate.
Thanks for this information. I totally agree with the loan situation, definitely do not want to be one of these grads that pays the monthly minimum at 45 years old. Thanks for your input it means a lot!
Apply to as many better schools as possible. There's no point in having 10 offers from mediocre / trashy schools as you need just one offer.
Also, "My High School screwed me over" kinda mindset is toxic and you should try to get rid of that as early as possible. It did not screw you over.
+SB for purging the victim mentality
If you’re not getting into any Ivy, you’re probably not getting into Stern either. So might as well apply to some of the lower ones because you never know
I would also shoot your shot with schools on the Fordham level (like Nova, Bucknell, Lehigh, Colgate, etc). Solid schools and not crazy hard to get into / proximity to NYC actually creates for pretty decent placement for those who grind it out. My 2 cents
