Watched the GameStop hearing -- the guy that made millions from the trade went to Stone Hill College (non-target), graduated during the financial crisis ('09), was unemployed for 2-years at one point and had to work at Mass Mutual. Props to him for making more than many of us ever will in our careers without a pedigreed backgrounds.

He seems like a pretty smart dude. In a lot of interviews, a lot of his friends and teachers were not surprised he was able to pull off something like this. Good on him. He deserved this dub.
I feel for all the people out there that don't get a shot at IB, finance or whatever because they didn't do the right things to break in.

I don’t think so. So many talented people slip through the cracks because of nepotism and general poor recruitment methods. He’s just one of them.
A huge part of the story is that he graduated in 09. Even smart target grads had offers rescinded or didn’t have spots to apply to in the first place
Yeah a 4:03 mile is no joke. But, to many with low 4:XX mile times, the main goal is 3:59 - too bad he never hit it and only got really close. 4:03 is amazingly good though.
