I'm going into my senior year and am actively seeking out an IB fall/winter internship. I currently do not have any experience in IB and am looking to break into IB before graduation. I would really appreciate any advice, feedback, or tips on how to obtain an internship with such a short timeline. Thanks!
Just get out there and look, last week of May before school ended I found two gigs for the summer after emailing literally every firm around me and in adjacent cities, about 150 of them. Only two replied but yeah that’s how it goes, try to get on the phone with them if emails arnt giving you luck. You probably have some time to find a fall gig or most are actively recruiting rn and obviously take the kids who reach out and show interest into the process. I’ve found a fall gig as of last week as well and I wasn’t expecting to get it since they don’t recruit from my region or school but it worked out, just need to keep looking & always show interest. Also in my emails I was direct and asked about intern opportunities.. got 2 responses so maybe exclude that from the email and really try and build an initial relationship and show them why you’re valuable with some of these smaller firms since they don’t NEED an intern in the first place.
