IFM Infrastructure NYC

Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone has any experience or knowledge in regards to IFM investors. In particular, i’m interested in any insight on their infra team in NY, but any experience or knowledge would be helpful. In particular, i’m interested in learning about the following:

  • what their interview process is like

  • what the analyst/associate experience is like in terms of learning, work life, and pay

  • opportunities to ascend

  • culture

I know it’s an excellent firm but I don’t know many people that have worked for them so looking for more personal insight.

Thanks in advance

hyltzn, sorry about the lack of response. Maybe one of these topics will help:

Or maybe the following users have something to say: CI007 banking_mba timz_99

Hope that helps.

I have worked with them on deals. Can't talk about culture inside firm but they are generally speaking, good investors. They invest in core infrastructure (i.e. the most boring infra assets you can find - long term contracts, inflation indexed cash flows, cash yield, strong downside etc). Due to that focus and an open ended fund structure, the valuations of some of the deals they did does seem a little silly to me. Also, worth noting that they are owned by a bunch of pension funds. So income from fee streams (management fee and carry) is lower than other shops. In fact, they make press every now and then when they return a portion of management fees back to investors "because they were paid too much / didn't need it".
