Incredibly refreshing amidst the sea of KKR/TPG, money is everything, greed is good mentality that permeates much of the discussion here and I've never seen an unclassy post from the guy even during arguments

But yeah, illiniprogrammer seems like a really good guy. When I get to NYC in July I'd much rather hang out with people like him than guys who just wanna waste cash at clubs.

Although, I think I add a bit more value to this forum.

I'm a fan. His views on many things are different than mine, but I like that he expreses himself in an informed and nice way. And when we agree...it's great. Seeing someone in banking who has a more modest view of success is a breath of fresh air sometimes. I love my cash, but I understand other views and I think some people need to see them.

I always wonder where he works. Definitely seems like one of the most knowledgeable people on this forum.
If you follow his posts, I think it's pretty obvious where he works (I'm not going to out him though).
But yeah, big props to IP... it's always refreshing to hear his take on things
My only gripe with him is his insistence that "quality" business threads can be had from JC Penney and Men's Wearhouse (and other retailers of that ilk). If I fancied dressing like a circus clown, I would agree.
Aside from that, seems like a decent dude.
