Probably Brazilians from Wharton and HBS
"Brazilian" is not a race
HIG capital is a baller PE fund in miami. Almost exclusively HBS grads. Founded by former bain capital guys.
They also hire Vandy undergrads, but it's an ok fund.
One of the better MM PE funds I've come across.
Leon Mayer (REPE) is founded by wharton grads and run by them for the most part. I think their analysts are from UMiami undergrad though. Miami b-school won't get you into PE/HF/IBD even at the local level.
There are also a fair amount of FIU grads at the analyst/associate level.

IDK if there really is a major school that gets recruiting in south florida. You tend to see transplants from all over the place more than anything else imo. I think UM is probably the de facto school for IB just because so many pretentious douchebags end up at the school and seems like a lot of UF kids are way too disconnected.
Not to mention that the majority of Miami is spanish speaking and the UM kids are mostly rich cubans.
I'm a south Florida resident currently in community college. Where would be my best bet to transfer to then? Here I thought UF and UM were great schools, what I'm reading is quite concerning.
