What is the point? Manhattan looks like shit right now and most people don't spend their weekends in the summer there anyway. The lockdowns are going to continue for a long time IMO.
logic is 1) hanging out with analysts in NYC higher chance at getting return offer, 2) NYC bars should be open which will be fun? Correct me if I'm wrong
I mean...I guess? Not sure how many people are/will be in NYC this summer. Things are "open" in NYC now and it still sucks. I think there are going to be rules in place for a really long time. I don't find NYC bars fun in the summer really, Montauk is kind of where it is at.
Don't. Live at home and save a ton of money or move to Miami, rent a ranch with friends... NYC will probably be the rest of your life, it sucks right now and you could do something memorable instead
1. Analysts are not in NYC and if they are they don't want to hang out with interns unless forced to in the office/office events. Not mean to be offensive, just don't move to NYC expecting to make tons of friends when WFH
2. Unlikely bars will be open in a meaningful way. Indoor dining was just closed for months and reopened last week at 25%, NYC is extremely strict
This is spot on. I’m currently in MIA and thinking of options because it’s pretty hot in the summer, not sure if I’m going to stay. That being said, 0% chance I return to NYC. You can’t go from living a normal life to that. NYC is extremely restrictive and depressing.
thanks for that guys, parents basement it is!
