Industry to Consulting
Hello all,
I currently work for one of NA's major airline (DL/AA/UA/AC/WS) with experience in both operational and commercial roles.
With covid making more damage by the day to the industry, I'm thinking it could be a good timing to go do my mba (2021 start to avoid paying for a zoom university) and my post graduate plan would be to transition to consulting but remain in the aviation industry (my specialization or practice). As such, I was wondering if there was a list of firms and firms' geographical location that were known for being experts or currently expanding in that field in North America (US/Canada); doesn't have to be just MBB but also accenture (since they acquired Seabury) or the other usual suspects.
Thanks!

Finess, way too quiet in here. What about these resources:
If those topics were completely useless, don't blame me, blame my programmers...
hey Finess; the two I'm aware of are Oliver Wyman and Accenture. Oliver Wyman has a huge Aviation division - I know a few senior associates who took your route from Industry-> Consulting.
Yeah you would want to recruit into the Dallas/Chicago offices. The practice used to be huge, but Noone knows what it will look like after covid.
I know that Compass Lexecon, which is a well-known economic and antitrust consulting firm, has a large Aviation practice in their Boston office.
You can also look into the rx shops since they like folks with industry experience
