Informal Survey: Should my analyst know this?
Long story short I just started working with a new 3rd year analyst from a levfin product group at one of the BB banks. We're working on a capital raise and need to put together a time line - should be simple stuff, right? So I ask him if he has a good "T&R" template and he looks at me like I'm crazy. Should he know what I meant, or is there a chance this he just never heard the abbreviation?
In other words how many of you know what I'm referring to, and am I a dick for thinking he should know too?
Also any other bank specific abbreviations that qualified JR people might miss out on?
I have been in banking for over a year, and I have no clue what a t&r template is.
Been doing M&A for two years and never heard of the abbreviation. Often times different banks will have different names for even the most common documents. For example:
Non-Disclosure Agreement "NDA" = Confidentiality Agreement "CA"
Confidential Information Memorandum "CIM" = Offering Memorandum "OM"

I've done time at two different banks in M&A and industry groups, and have never heard that term...
Yes, he should know what T&R is. It is Timing and Responsibilities.
Makes sense bwils, though we don't call it that at my bank. Worthless document really. You create a timeline and no one ever looks at it again except when timing changes a few weeks later and they want a revised version which they will also not look at.
