International Opportunities in Consulting
How do firms 'rank' in terms of the international opportunities they offer. Was just wondering where (in terms of both location and firm) are you able to get staffed on deals in other countries more easier than others?
Among MBB, McKinsey is a clear first (you can basically ask to work on a project anywhere in the world that you want), followed by BCG (more regionally focused so it's tough to do anything international, but some opportunities exist). and Bain is tough to make anything happen, but there's the potential to transfer to an international office for 6 months in your third year (outside of this, you are only doing local work though).
Thanks for the insight! how about firms outside of MBB, like deloitte, OW, etc...
Big 4s tend to be regional, LEK can have cool travel but the work is often office-based. RB also doesn't travel much and OW is quite international - a friend working for a DACH office ended up in the ME for a project.
