Internship Offers: William Blair, Arma Partners, Gleacher Shacklock

Hi all,

I would really appreciate any insight on making a decision to go with either William Blair, Arma Partners or Gleacher Shacklock for the Summer 2017. All of the offers are in London.

In general, I am looking to find the optimal combination of the usual suspects: which firm would have the best deal flow, compensation, prestige and MM PE exit opps (in no particular order).

I have a solid understanding of the individual firms through interviews and such, but found it very hard to get a comparative understanding of which firm actually is the better choice for starting out a career. All seems pretty good with different pros/cons. Almost no information on Gleacher Shacklock out there.

Currently, just based on my impression William Blair may come slightly ahead of the two others, with Gleacher and Arma Partners having an equal standing??

Again, I would be really grateful for your contribution.

Thanks :-)

Have to make a decision by Tuesday. Thanks for some great inputs, but it seems as if there is no clear consensus. However, it seems that people agree that either Arma Partners or Gleacher Shacklock would be better than William Blair. I initially thought its global upper MM brand would be the safe way to go. Does anyone have insight to the position of William Blair relative to the others?
