Internship/FT role process

How does one usually get a consulting offer either as an intern or a full-time consultant?

I'm trying to get an offer for this summer and I'm honestly lost.

EDIT:

There is no offer I'm applying for.

I just recently decided to try out for consulting and I'm trying to learn the ins and outs of securing an offer.

Simply put, I'm trying to figure out things like networking, timelines, recruiting etc.

I mean...apply on your school’s career website and try to land the interview. Prep for case studies and try to talk to a few alumni at the firm to get a sense of what they do so you can speak to it intelligently. Then you need to do a good job in the interviews and not screw up the case.

Don’t really understand the question - prepare, apply, interview, offer.
