They have a solid mm deal pipeline and are even building out a mm-specific program in Chicago. That being said, overall deal experience for the ny program is more similar to an EB than an mm, 95% of all the senior bankers in ny are ex-lehman/ex-bb/ex-eb.

Not talked about much on wso because it's still relatively new and growing fast so people have a hard time giving it a label

But fr though these kinds of banks show how lumping companies into broad categories doesnt work perfectly in real life.

I work at a "standard" EB and know that to call Guggenheim a MM bank is wildly inaccurate. Define EB however you want it...but Gugg does the same size deals as all the other EBs. They very recently began building out a MM franchise in Chicago but the bulk of what they do is in line with what we do.
