Is it possible to switch banks as a first year analyst?
I joined a sales and trading analyst program but a year later when I actually started HR told me the program was completely different. Basically I have to spend most of the first year as a generalist, and when I'm done they'll place me somewhere in either capital markets or sales and trading but don't really seem to care much what I want to do. Is it even somewhat possible for me to get hired into a different sales and trading analyst role?
