Is it weird/creepy as a senior guy to hook up with a freshman?

I want to hear everyone's takes on this.  I, a college senior, have very little sexual experience due to previous confidence issues and 'catholic guilt'. Last night I was talking to a freshman girl at a party.  Didn't end up making a move on her because I wanted to go to my friend's 21st.

A lot of my friends who I've talked to about this stuff say that it would be weird/problematic for me (a senior) to hookup with a freshman girl.  I don't understand why, especially since I'm relatively inexperienced myself, everything is consensual, she's into it as well, etc... Like what's the issue with hooking up? It's not like I'm acting like a creep who is 'poaching' girls, getting them drunk and raping them, etc... I'm just talking to girls and... doing my business with them if it gets to that point.

I often feel like the people who are telling me that its creepy are doing it as a cope for the fact that they have had no success picking up girls, kind of a jealous thing.  Others I feel just make these 'rules' for no real reason except for that being something someone told them.

What do you mean senior guy - like 55 or 60?

its not so much creepy but it is objectively pathetic

my buddy dated a freshman his second semester senior year and then she cheated on him while she was studying abroad that summer. because thats what freshmen are supposed to do, study abroad and hook up with everyone. not get tied down by some washout

I'm a bit out of my sleeping with high schoolers phase, but make sure that you've cleared the age of consent and go for it. (It's 16 in NJ/CT, 17 in NY and 18 if you cross state lines btw.  Some of the deep south goes as low as 14.) Just don't expect monogamy, but hell, at the end of the day we're all just into friction.

The only difference between Asset Management and Investment Research is assets. I generally see somebody I know on TV on Bloomberg/CNBC etc. once or twice a week. This sounds cool, until I remind myself that I see somebody I know on ESPN five days a week.

18+ and up in college is fair game. It’s only as creepy as you make it to be

Now just don’t be a moron and try to wife up a freshman girl. Just hang out and do your thing.

i was still dating college girls in my mid 20s, altho more so juniors and seniors, girls who can go out and drink.. and never gave a fuck

Believe its very healthy to have a significant age gap (5-8 years), above legal age.

More than 50% of college rapes are in the first 6 weeks of class, especially freshmen girls.  They're away from their parents for the first time, no experience, little alcohol tolerance, etc. so they are very vulnerable to sexual assault.  So there might be a stereotype that guys who sleep with them are rapey.

However if you and her both intend on hooking up, go for it!
