Is RBC going to increase pay?
TD just bumped up their corporate bankers associate salary to $175k. How is RBC paying 1st year associates in IB $170? Do they intend to increase pay? 45 hours a week versus 80 and a smaller base.

TD Ameritrade is a brokerage. They don’t have corporate bankers.
TD bank does
I’m aware. That was a typo.
I mean it’s really not a big discrepancy at all. A lot of banks have the same base for CB & IB just different bonuses
Bump
Do we know what the comp is like for CIBC?
I'm struggling to follow - where did you obtain news that TD CB Associates bumped base to $175K? Is this in Canada as well? I can almost unequivocally say that BMO CB associates make nowhere close to this amount in base or even all-in.
From a close friend - the bank increased base pay twice in the last 12 months. Also, salary is held constant throughout associate level.
I believe the pay increase looked like the order below.
$125k -> $150k - $175k
Are these bases for associates in Canada or US?
These figures are not applicable in Canada. CB gets paid the same as IB (or at a slight discount) for base salary, and most Big 6 banks are around $95K CAD for analyst base, and $135k CAD for associate base. They need to pay the salary structure as OP mentioned in the U.S. to be competitive with other U.S. banks.
What are bonus figures like at both levels right now for Canadian CB in Canada? Can you share % of base relative to that 95/130 figure you shared? Fwiw, I’m AN2 in CB and I’m getting 90. Maybe I got shafted.
