Stephens Inc. GPA Ranges? (Originally Posted: 06/04/2014)
Hi friends,
Stephens Inc. recruits very heavily from my school and I networked with a few of the associates their and they seem really great and the not to mention culture seems good as well from what I understood from them. I am planning to recruit for them for FT recruiting so what is a good range for Stephens as far as FT recruiting goes for someone that is currently in a non-IB internship now?
The highest you can have it. Also, there are other factors that go into recruiting.
This.
If we said "3.5-3.7", would you just coast if you had a 3.8? Just keep networking and get the best grades that you can get. Stephens is a Southern bank, so while they will certainly want bright kids, they look at many more things too, such as fit and personality.
what school do you go to?
I got to Texas (McCombs School of Business)
2.5 if you're a diversity candidate and have >100 notches on your belt (swap Stephens for any other firm on the street)
Whats your internship right now? Honestly, non-target + no IB internship going into FT recruiting is going to be very hard. A 3.8-4.0 realistically but even then its gonna be a tough sell without the internship
McCombs isn't a non target.
My internship is in Big Oil F10 CorpFin now
What's the latest on Stephens Inc? (Originally Posted: 09/10/2013)
I searched through the archives and found some decent information, but it's mostly from 2010 or earlier.
Does anybody have anything new to add about this bank and its reputation? Their NY office is starting to grow and they opened up a San Francisco office last year, so they seem to be moving away from their image as a Southeast regional boutique.
I've heard good things about the experience that analysts get, but I'm wondering if anybody has any concrete info about the work experience and pay.
Thanks!
