Is this a phone screen or a networking call???

So I cold-emailed a guy at a BB, he didn't respond to me but forwarded my resume to his colleague (a director), and he reached out to me to schedule a call.

obviously i should treat any networking call like an interview, but how should i go about this call in terms of preparing for it? go all out and prepare for it like an official first round, or just touch up on the behaviorals?

There's a good chance it won't be technical, mainly just fit based (why you want to do banking, your background, resume walk through, etc.), but he may throw some technicals in anyway. I'd review the M&I/WSO guide just in case and have it in front of you during the call. Know your resume and have a solid reason for why banking. Do some linkedin DD on the guy, get a feel for his background, and try to find some commonalities you can talk to him about. The more the conversation becomes like a chat between friends and the less it's pointed questions, the better off you are. Good luck!
