First, how many of use island reversals in their trading. From my experience thay only seem to work as a short after an gap up (except buyouts) and not in the reverse.
I have been successfully profiting off shorts by using island reversals as my setup. However, I have a difficult time figuring out how long it takes to fill the gap. It can vary from a few days to a few years. I was wondering if anyone on WSO has any insight about this, and what other factors may determine the speed of the fill.
