Job offers...but what team to join?

I have full time offers from Credit Suisse and UBS with the option to express a preference regarding which team I join - which sector coverage, or strategy team.

In being allocated a desk I obviously want to maximize potential for promotion, exit ops, and compensation.

Which are the top ranked teams/analysts at these firms (Europe - UK)? I know within the firms who are regarded highly but what about on the street, are there particular teams at either bank that are very highly regarded?

I don't have any particular sector-specific technical knowledge or expertise or a huge interest in one sector over another so my decision is basically which are the best teams to join in terms of career path, or are they all equal?

If you were joining now, what teams would you want to join at what bank? What sector would you ideally want to cover? Please say why you would rather one sector/team over another.

Also, what has better exit ops out of strategy and the usual stock specific teams?

I hear the Delta One desk at UBS has an opening.

Yea I'm favouring CS anyway, but within that are there any stand out teams in ER at CS that you would try and join?

Or otherwise which sector coverage team has the best exit ops in ER generally? (If there is any variation at all - does it matter what sector you're covering?)

Strategy vs sector coverage?

Fuck strategy man.. go sector..

I don't know much about the European market.. but one would assume that financials would be one of the largest sectors, no? And if you join a team with an analyst who has a backbone and is willing to make big calls, this type of macro environment could be ideal to launch your career.
