I would remove the beta project, it's not really important. A lot of people have calculated betas in classes, so unless there's something particularly special about this case, it's not unique.
Dean's list, you can say 2008,2009 (all semesters) to truncate it
For your AIM, you might want to include some skillsets used.
Do you go to Marquette by the way? Only a small handful of schools have AIM.
Try to quantify everything as much as possible/frame in terms of results achieved. Rather than "gained experience" try to jazz it up based on results while you were there.
Add more to Beta Project if you can. The applied investment management thing is huge--can you talk less about being a member and focus more on what you did? What specific analysis did you do? How are your returns? Sharpe ratio?
Above all, really focus on the bullet points. Shouldn't be a summary of what you did, but more of a statement on what you accomplished. See the Mergers and Inquisitions resume guides--they are pretty good.
Be careful with what you say in some of the areas too. If you are an "Active investor in equity markets," prepare to get grilled on this.
PM me if you want to discuss further.
Thanks guys. I included the Beta Project because I don't have very much finance related experience.
Also, the reason I don't have more about what I did in AIM is simply because I was just recently inducted into it and I don't start my AIM classes until Spring semester.
I will check out those Mergers and Inquisitions guides and work on my bullet points--thanks.
Oh, and yeah--good guess--I do go to Marquette haha.
Put more about the personal trading in the skills & interests section. List the financial publications you read daily. Put how long you have been investing.
Looks good.
Should I include Micro and Macroeconomics under relevant coursework? Or do you think since they are building block business classes that they are not necessary?
