I recruited as a junior graduating in 2022 and was hell-bent on graduating in 3 years and got an IB offer. Now with classes being virtual, I feel like I have not gotten a full college experience. When should I tell the firm that I want to be considered a sophomore and instead of being considered for a return offer but a return internship offer? And will that make it easier for me to get a return internship offer vs an FT offer?

Ask for a deferred FT start date and graduate early. Then, move to a nice college town in Miami or California and party your ass off.
Defer start by 6 months or something. Or just suck up and start working.
