Long-term career in Credit?

Thinking about working in private credit after my IB stint. Heard from buds that credit is great pay / hours ratio, especially for primaries, secondaries, and co investments credit role. Was curious what comp & career flexibility is like in the primaries, secondaries, co invest space for private credit.

I think OP’s question is more leaning towards the FoF / LP side of things versus the more typical direct lending role.

Was mentioned in a PE secondaries thread but would assume the result is the same for credit secondaries, primaries, etc., where you earn very similar returns to the credit funds themselves but are doing a fraction of the diligence that the direct lending / credit team at Golub, Owl, KKR, etc. are doing.
