Looking for Resume Feedback (SA 2020)

Hello - I'm looking for resume feedback. Just finished my freshman year and will be applying shortly to SA 2020 positions. I'm mainly interested in IB, but realize it will be tough after sophomore year. Willing to take other roles as well (PWM, back office, EQ, ST, etc). Definitely will be hitting up my connections (boarding school, sport, ivy, etc) as part of networking.

Looking for brutally honest feedback.

Thanks

As a rising sophomore you're in a good position judging by your GPA and the fact that you're from a target. Regardless, this resume isn't doing you any good. Look up finance resume templates and download one or build one in Word that looks similar. This current resume will get thrown in the trash because of its layout, not content. Also, consider putting more emphasis on the finance club because nothing else on your resume shows interest in IB.

Obviously shoot for IB next summer but if you land in PWM, PE, HF or something else finance then you're in a good spot for 2021.

Hope this is helpful!

Thanks for your reply. I created this using the template from WSO. The only difference is the font. Hard to believe that using the wrong font will make someone throw my resume into the trash.

But I appreciate you taking the time to reply.

Little sparse. Definitely want more than one bullet point for your experiences.

Working for an F500 the summer after freshman year is impressive. That said, is there any way you can connect what you did to the business side of the house? Sounds like you were basically just in a lab, but if there’s any sense in which your research helped them determine how to market / price / roll out the drug, I would play that up.

Good luck!
