m7 MBA Chances
Hi! Long-time lurker, first post!
I am in my mid-20s and have been out of school for three years. I worked in Risk Consulting Advisory at one of the Big 4s(not deloitte) and was promoted to Senior Associate after my second year. I double-majored in Chinese and Business and left Big 4 to serve as Compliance Manager for a Chinese consulting company based in Beijing that went public in 2017. I’m now planning to return to the U.S. to pursue an MBA. I am wondering what my chances are to be accepted into one of the M7 MBA programs. Stats: - GMAT: Plan to take it in January (aim 730) - High school valedictorian - UGrad: Non-target public with honors degree - Major: Double major (Business Administration, Chinese) - GPA: 3.97 - White female. Domestic student. Want to work for top consulting firms like MBB or break into PE. Also, side question: What kind of experience should I highlight in my application? I have worked on many international projects starting in high school as an exchange student. Will this help my chances? Thanks!
wrong forum.
Thx! Just updated it.
if you can get a 730+ you should be in play for the non H/S M7 schools.
Do you think I have a good chance of securing some funding?
with a high enough GMAT it's possible. from what i've seen/heard booth, kellogg, and cbs are the most generous
A little too soon to tell given no GMAT, but assuming 730: solid.
Execution will matter.

Thx! Any advice for what kind of experience should I highlight in my application?
Is risk consulting advisory the side of Big 4 that does reputational and sanctions due diligence, pre-transaction intelligence/investigations, competes with Kroll/FTI/Control Risks etc?

I'm considering Wharton. Do you think I have a good chance to be accepted there? Thanks.
