I interviewed for a FO position at Macquarie and heard from a friend that they no longer offer H1B visa sponsorship, although I did mention on my application that "I will need sponsorship in the future". Does anyone have info on this?

Any info on UBS is also appreciated.
I would appreciate any clarity on this too because I know people who have gotten rejected because they dont sponsor but also know people who were international students and got hired by UBS
