Master Exchange Europe () MSc Finance
Hello everyone,
Currently I am doing a Master in Finance at the University of Amsterdam and would like to do an additional master exchange semester and have narrowed my choices to EDHEC, Dauphine, Bocconi. Other options include Sciencepo, LUISS and Lausanne.
What do you guys think would be my best choice?
My goals is to get into IB in London and would like to learn a new language (preferably French).
Previously I have done a BSc in Business administration and have internship experience in IB and a finance internship at a multinational.
Thank you very much for your thoughts!
I would say 1. Bocconi 2. SciencePo 3. EDHEC 4. LUISS 5. Dauphine 6. Lausanne In terms of brand equity, employability and structure of programs
Thanks for your reply! my idea was that Dauphine had a better name than SciencePo is that incorrect? I am leaning towards a destination in France since I can develop my language as well.
Nah mate SciencePo has a very strong name, although more for international relations and so on. But definitively SciencePo >> Dauphine (that innit a grande ecole btw).
I would do my best to get into Bocconi, anyway.
Sciences Po has a very strong brand name, but that is indeed more related to its IR/public policy programmes as Marcus pointed out.
Is HEC not an option? If not, and you're set on going to France (so excluding Bocconi), EDHEC also places very well in London.
P.S. I'm also Dutch and doing my Master's in France so feel free to PM if you have any further/more specific questions.
HEC is not an option unfortunately, I think my decision is between EDHEC and and SciencePo then since I would like to learn an extra language, thank you for your help.
Where are you currently doing your masters?
You can learn French even if the Program is English-taught. There always are Local Language Courses delivered on campus. It'd be stupid to dismiss HEC just because their programs are in English.
Cross Paris Dauphine University from your list of target schools. This school shouldn't even be mentioned here. It's an LSE-like "diploma factory" without LSE's prestige and good placement. You'd be making a huge mistake if you go there.
