MBA- worth it for me?

I have a chemistry BA from hunter college(a non nationally ranked school: really low target). I have been working as a manager for a very small trucking company which has a contract with FedEx for 2 years, got the job through my Dad. The job is a dead end though. I would like to stay in business and work as some sort of analyst but with my Chemistry BA from an unranked, non target school that's not possible. Would an MBA qualify me for these jobs? I would be getting an MBA from a low ranked state school(in the 80's) which would only cost 30k total. Would the MBA as a credential help me land a job which would not be possible with my current circumstances? Any advice is welcome

Looking to break into business analytics at this point. I have heard that an MBA might make me overqualified for these positions at the entry level and I would definitely need to start entry level, any thoughts on that? I don't want to get a second degree in business when I can get an MBA for about the same price and the same amount of time if not less but don't want to be labeled over qualified.

A little more data would be helpful. What field in analytics - marketing, ops, finance etc, what do you want to do (do you have home office aspirations at a F100 company? Or do you want to be a financial analyst for a region of a company)? And what type of company/industry you're targeting?

Depending on the role, an MSF or harder analytics track might make more sense than the MBA. Some more clarity will also let us opine on whether the types of roles you're targeting might align with the type of MBA you're probably targeting.

I want to get an entry level job as a business analyst or financial analyst and move on from there. No real plans except to enter one of those entry level jobs. Do you think an MBA from a low ranked school would make me overqualified for those positions?
