MBS / ABS / CMBS Internship

I got an offer to work in to work in securitized products at a BB level bank (GS, JPM, MS) in a big city, summer 2018, I have been targeting M&A banking and that is what I really want to do long term. Take the offer or wait on it?

If you want to do M&A, go for an M&A or coverage group--the skills you'll learn in structured products are very different and provide substantially different exit ops (except possibly CMBS->REPE, but that's not all that common).

Edit: Purely out of curiosity, you wouldn't happen to have gotten the interview from GS REFG? I've heard strange things about their timing
