Mega fund Investor relations job

so here's the sitch

did 2 yrs IBD at a BB bank, moved to fixed income S&T in my 3rd year and right now done 1 year at a fixed income sales role on the trading floor

doing my CFA level 2 in june this year

hoping to move into buy side HF into F/O role doing research, assistant PM, what have you type role

been offered an opportunity as a junior in top 5 hedge fund in their investor relations division - the role indicates it has a strong chance to move to fund-raising / trading type role and been informed shouldnt be discouraged cuz its a junior business development role to start with.

any thoughts guys?
