Love it. I'd say something that tugs on the interviewer's emotions a little like "I've heard all of the stories my dad has told me over the years about his company, and I'd like to experience that by being a part of the most transformative and defining moments of our clients' histories by working in IB" and then jokingly hit them with the "especially since I don't have an idea for my own company like my dad did". Subtle, genuine, and right in the feels

It could play well, but it could also backfire if you get the wrong interviewer or come off as somebody that comes from a huge amount of resources (which is implied by what sounds like multiple IPOs). In several conversations I've heard senior bankers talk about their dislike for candidates that come from money and connections as they tend not to have as much fire inside of them (which is obviously an unfair bias...but who am I to judge). Ultimately just make sure you sound down to earth and low key even though you have a successful parent.
