JPM FIG has top tier exits, including to generalist MF, my guy

JPM’s team is just massive (~100people) and you are focused on a specific geography so you’ll mostly work with a small sub-team. From the people I’ve met, they have very long hours as you would expect if you are in FIG but also party very hard. Didn’t hear bad things really from them.

Cannot speak for MS’s size and culture but happy to expand on GS if you want.

Interned at JP FIG. Pretty horrible culture (long hours + every weekend, terrible intern sponsors when I was there, lots of office politics, disingenuous people). Obviously, this is not true of all 100 people working there - just my high level observation. Ended up switching to a different bank...

That being said, saw good exits from their banks / spec fin group. Less so other groups. Guess its up to you whether or not you can "deal with the culture".

Also banks are known to be one of the most demanding industries. You see people in Treasury/non-FO jobs putting in 60/70+ hours at certain places.

MS FIG: c.50 people, strong group across the street and top fee generator for MS. You will most likely be working with a small sub team with a geo focus but you might have opps to work on other stuff too. In contrast to what's been written, exits are strong to both FIG / non-FIG stuff. SWEATY AS HELL.
