Nanotech Analyst to Hedge Fund

I'm a rising undergrad junior and recently landed an analyst role at Nanotech Industrial Solutions - the only manufacturer of a proprietary nano lubricant among (other products), and a pretty major player in the industry. My question is, can I leverage this summer's experience to land an analyst role in a nanotech focused (or something along those lines) hedge fund?

For more context, I have a 3.75 GPA, am a Global Business (with a concentration in global finance and business econ.) major at the Gabelli School of Business in NYC, and have varying internship experience in Finance (start up, wealth management firm) .
