Need some advice - Currently working in FO institutional client role
need some advice folks...
currently working in a front office institutional client role in Asset Management. think giant like BlackRock/ PIMCO/ JPM/ SS/ UBS/ GSAM. been here for 4 years. made some great connections and experiences.
been offered a job at a lesser known, more specialized shop. Think Cap Group/INVESCO/ WAMCO/ T Rowe/TIAA CREF. not really any future for the firm, very specialized. the difference is the role being offered is on the portfolio mgmt side.
thoughts? better company vs better role? compensation is not a factor. one thing to note is i'm likely going to apply for a part time mba program soon and wanted the best recommendation letters possible. would admissions look down or less favorable on a less known company or not as good letters of rec? plus i have to consider everyone on my current team hating me and banning me for life from the firm pretty much....
