Needs Advice for Master program to break into consulting
Hi guys,
I have a math degree from NYU in 2014, and interned in Wholesale planning and Retail Operations division of several luxury goods company in NY. I passed CFA level 2 exam last year. My eventual goal is to break into big consulting firms like MBB, preferably doing Management Consulting. I am an America citizen, but I also hope to gain international exposure. Right now, I have two graduate school offers and it would be greatly appreciated if you could provide me some advice.
1st Offer:
London Business School - Master in Management
Pros -
Reputation in Europe
Global Exposure
Alumni Network in consulting and IB
Finance coursework
Soft-skills enhancement
Cons -
Pre-experience program might be too theoretical
Hard to find a job in UK
2nd Offer:
Columbia Business School - Master in Marketing
Pros -
Alumni Network in NY
Quant / Marketing Analytics Focus aiming at building technical skills
Cons -
Focus solely on marketing
Narrow coursework might make it hard to break into areas other than marketing
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much.
