NESCAC Students on Wall Street
Interested to know how wall street views students from NESCAC's. How are they seen compared to other SA/Analysts coming from finance/business undergrad schools? How many alumni are there in S&T and does coming in with a liberal arts degree make it more difficult to succeed?
Literally every bank recruits from Amherst and Williams. They are arguably the top to LACs. Every other school will be slightly harder (conn and trinity being much harder) but still easy. Pls just do a search on LinkedIn.
1. go to LinkedIn
2. search school
3. click alumni (on the left)
4. Search “incoming analyst” or “investment” and look at the results
There’s plenty of liberal arts people out there, both from NESCAC schools but also people from target schools who pursued those majors. I’ve never noticed any difference in quality / intelligence based on what someone studied... your major doesn’t really matter once you hit the desk
Not target schools in the traditional sense of the term but still well respected, especially Williams and Amherst. You’d have a shot at Wall Street if you do well at these schools
