Networking Meeting with IBD Head

Hello everyone

I found an ib analyst position in a large mm bank. Prior to applying online, I emailed several senior bankers in the firm and tried to get interview opportunity without online application. The head of the department replied to my email within 10 munites and had his secretary arrange a coffee between him and me. I am a little flattered and am not sure how to prepare for the meeting. My understanding is that in general he should have his hr or vp/associate talk to me at first and evaluate my qualifications. So far I have not spoken with anyone in his firm and the meeting with him will be the first one.

Will this meeting be a kind of interview? Or he just wanna touch base? Quite confused. Any advice and sharing of similar experience would be appreciated. Thank you guys!
