You can send emails whenever you want. If you don’t want to bother people during their time off (or late at night) then don’t send emails during weekend, holidays, or late at night. And yes Monday is a holiday. It also depends how you are trying to contact people.

I personally do not enjoy receiving emails from people I do not know on my work account for 2 main reasons: 1) I will probably lose it, throughout the day I prioritize and organize my work and inbox and that will get lost in the shuffle because I definitely won’t be responding right away and 2) during my off time (especially if a lot is going on at work) I carry my work device with me to be reachable from those that need to reach me, and so it is a bit annoying to receive a networking email when I haven’t shared my contact info with you.

If you are emailing a personal email or LinkedIn, etc then the chance that this “pings” someone is low and you can do it whenever.

Thanks for the reply. I understand Monday’s a holiday but won’t bankers still be working tomorrow? Also these calls are for group placements with people that others have referred me to to shed more light on the situation

Ok just think through a couple things:

1) what is the advantage of calling them on a holiday instead of Tuesday (or any day of the week)? Is there a reason you need to do this? There is a risk and what is the reward?

2) yes people will be working (people also work weekends), but I can guarantee you they want to be done with work ASAP and enjoy time with family (or by themselves). Working on a holiday isn’t sitting at your desk, it is mostly making sure you are available and dealing with issues as they come up.

So why do you want to do this? Put yourself in their shoes, is that what you want to do during a (even if only partial) day off?

Personally I work long hours and many weekends (especially lately), I would prefer to have time for myself than be doing a networking call.

Don't do it. At my bank, bankrs would auto delete it because it showsyou have no sense of common sense.

Will update my computer soon and leave Incognito so I will disappear forever. How did I achieve Neanderthal by trolling? Some people are after me so need to close account for safety.
