New Jersey College ... Montclair State University ... Anyone? Any Thoughts?
Fellow primates...a friend of mine just recently asked me to look into the MBA program at Montclair State University in New Jersey. A number of my professional friends at BarCap, GS, MS, State Street, PwC, Deloitte etc actually went there for undergrad. I hear they have a strong unddergrad program in Accounting, Economics and Finance. The school also seemed to be ranked highly by Forbes [ http://www.forbes.com/2009/08/06/best-public-coll… ] ... Any primate from Montclair State or familiar with the school and its MBA program?
just no. absolutely not
rankings are like league tables, every college can be "highly ranked" in something, and its not "highly ranked", its 288 out of all schools and 55 out of public schools (meaning you can have a school in every state ranked above it)
I get to agree with this guy for once
I looked at the list just for the heck of it...and it looks like you've been had. Looks like the typical "school X paid Y amount of money to get their name on some list which included other schools to make the list look legit"
As soon as I saw "New College of Florida" at number 5 ahead of UNC, Virginia, Berkeley....I mean...come on, use your head.
As for Montclair State, I went there once in high school my school, took a trip there because they were holding a big time Key Club meeting for several different high schools.. That should tell you all you need to know. I think richocetX is actually giving it too much credit.
Err enlighten me please, what does a school hosting Key Club have to do with its academic reputation?
No way to kill a good satirical post like literal word for word interpretation.
You guys make solid points. Yes not highly ranked but ranked the top public school in new jersey. I guess what i was getting at really is the fact that the school does have some representation in the industry and i thought it was worth looking at.
