Not getting the Apple Watch 7 this year
have been fucking waiting for a nice big upgrade, but nah, apple just made a bigger screen and "faster charging"
no Apple Watch 7 for me then, what a shame

I am thinking about getting an Apple Watch. It is mainly used by people who wear watches or is it like a cool and modern version of an Ipod for exercise?
Get a Garmin Fenix 6
I've tried one out just recently, didn't like it so sent it back
if they bring out the Fenix 7 ill give it one more shot
Till this day I never understood the need for this.
Never understood the value myself until I bought one (Apple Watch in general, not the 7 specifically). It’s still definitely a want rather than a need, but I think I get a lot out of it and would immediately buy a new one if my current died (although I don’t currently see a reason to upgrade otherwise).
Checking my calendar, using a mobile wallet, checking texts / emails, answering calls, etc. are all way more convenient than with a phone - especially if it’s cold or raining and my phone is buried in some pocket somewhere. Not to mention exercise features or pinging my phone when I can’t find it, both of which are huge.
If you’re focused on true practicality and frugality it probably won’t make sense, but if you’re ok throwing a few hundred bucks for little bits of constant convenience (which I am), they’re totally worth it
Get a garmin, Cheaper and gives all the notifications as well.
I paid $900 for my Garmin Fenix 5, 3yrs ago, so I doubt it was cheaper - but know it was better.
Looks more expensive generally, but maybe I’m not looking at apples-to-apples models.
Curious what makes it better?
I’m partial to the seamless integration across my Apple ecosystem (not a fanboy, just willing to admit that it’s an effective customer retention tool), but I’m entirely open to alternatives if it’s a material improvement
