I’m a first year analyst at a regional boutique and am intent on lateraling to another firm.
Unfortunately, I have a 60-day notice period in my employment contract that states that I’m not allowed to work for another financial advisory firm during that period.
How should I handle this in the lateral process?

If you can, have a lawyer look at your employment agreement to see if there's wiggle room. If you don't have access to a lawyer or nothing can be done, you could go to HR at your firm and request a confidential discussion. Explain to HR the situation (only after you've received the offer!) and ask their advice.
Shouldn't be an issue as long as you handle yourself in a professional way, looks like you're trying to do that already.
If you’re a junior they shouldn’t give a shit, mostly for MDs so they don’t take business / pipeline to another firm
What should I say when I’m asked about my availability to start in an interview? Don’t want to put myself at a disadvantage in the process if i’m able to get this waived.
