NYCIntern for summer housing?

I'll be working at a BB in Midtown this summer, and I was wondering if anyone had experience with NYCIntern. It's pretty pricey, but you do get a studio to yourself, and it's like a 20 minute train ride to the office. I'm also looking at places like NYU and TNS, and I'd gladly take any other advice/thoughts on summer housing.

I'm just an intern and someone new to the city, but I did use them to book my place for this coming summer and also got a single studio. In terms of having an entire studio to yourself, I actually couldn't find a cheaper option other than NYU (locations were too far from the office).

Why do so many people refuse to consider AirBnB's? You get way more space and privacy (whole apartment to yourself with a group of friends) for usually cheaper than these bullshit summer housing orgs.

I snagged a 2BR/1BA apartment in the LES w/ a doorman & in-unit washer/dryer/AC for ~3.5-3.8k ($1800/mo per person) with a roommate this past summer. Just a couple stops on the Q to midtown with less than 15 min commute

Summer housing can be a lot cheaper if you're subleasing though (like $1k a month or less)
