off-cycle internships in PE/Infra
I've landed a SA at a bank this upcoming summer but have nothing planned for the year in between the internship and full-time. I want to do an off-cycle internship for one of the semesters and travel during the other one.
Since I eventually want to do Infra/PE, I was thinking of just reaching out to LMM and MM firms to see if they'll hire me as an intern for four months during the school year. I'm not sure it'd be worth going unpaid but I'd go minimum wage if that's what it takes. Am I wasting my time here? What are the odds they take an intern? Keep it real with me.
If you were me, how would you go about landing an off-cycle internship?
