Offer from GS GIR
It looks like I've got an offer coming for an equity research position at Goldman Sachs. It's fairly junior but I'd be on the fast track to rise through the ranks (I have a PhD with no finance experience and they're going to give me a lot of training).
Not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but would I have good exit ops from this type of position with my PhD background (healthcare), even if I don't stay very long? My intent would be to stay as long as I can and advance through the ranks, but if I get laid off at some point, I want to make sure I have other opportunities since I am new to finance.
Thanks!!
which office?
Not trying to be difficult, but I'm just wondering why the office location is relevant to my question. I'd rather not give out too much identifying information if possible. If there's a good reason I need to specify the office, I'll definitely reconsider. Thanks!
