From my experience, yes, most associates had their own cube. A small number of associates had shared offices (2 to a room). Some of the small-cap associates had rooms with 3-4 associates. The analyst usually has their own office - although seems like SS shops are moving towards more open floor plans now which really pisses off the analysts hah. Open floor plan = no fun for anyone.

 

We sit in open landscape at our place. Not even walls between desks. It's about 5 feet between us. Work independently 90% of the time.
