Oil Trader @ Citadel
I have absolutely no background in oil trading, but having got a bit fed up/bored with my career in a big conservative AM i decided to branch out and explore other options. Through sheer luck and good timing an opportunity has come up to (potentially) join Citadel as a junior oil trader. Interview still to go, but I just want some help deciding whether I actually want this job or not.
What is the day to day like? Is it an intense all-hours-god-sends type of job? What sort of skills make you good at it? Does it all boil down to intelligence / social skills / math acuity / etc? Any idea of the comps from start to a few years out?
I hear the burnout is pretty high which adds to my reluctance of leaving my current stable job... but still, its Citadel!
Thanks in advance

Talk about putting the cart before the horse. You have an interview for a role in an industry in which you have no experience and you don't ask anything at all about oil markets/trading/etc...
