Opinion on CS Coverage / M&A execution groups?
Are CS coverage groups really good? Anyone with good information about its M&A execution group? Prestige, deal flow, exit opps, and so on.

Their M&A team is the same as any other M&A team at a BB (except GS and Barclays, which do most M&A in house and have specialized M&A teams) -- good groups with good exits. Their coverage teams tend to be strong. In terms of deal flow, prestige, and exits, it is FSG at the top, then probably TMT and Industrials in the tier below in terms of exits. None of their coverage group are considered top of the street except FSG, but I think Industrials is top 3-4 on the street, the tech part of TMT is well regarded, and you occasionally see another coverage group break into the top 3-4 (healthcare and retail teams are tiny but sometimes have mega deals). Overall, CS runs leaner than the other BBs (I think each class has something like 20-30% fewer bankers than other BBs) and so you'll get a great experience and top 6-7 deal flow in the US
