OT Pay?? Do I report it???
Hey Guys,
I'm doing an SA at a BB that pays OT this summer. Just wanted to know I have been hearing that you are only suppose to report the first 40hrs, and not the other hours.
What's your experience with this?
Thanks,

SA pay is typically prorated, so it should be commensurate with how much you work. I would just shoot an analyst/associate an email and see if they could chat on the phone about it.
Its in my offer letter, I just don't want to get dinged for actually reporting every hour.
thanks
On your first day you'll get a feel for what is expected of you. If you don't then ask the analysts that you know there.
The way it worked for me (S&T) was that you were paid a pro-rated salary for 55 hours, and would theoretically be paid overtime if you worked more, but you were discouraged from doing so. I ended up not reporting the few times I stayed later, but some people did, so I dunno..it's I guess it's your call, but can't hurt to play it safe.
during my SA (IBD) stint, we just had to log the number of hours we worked each day, which ended up being 80-110 hrs a week, and they would pay the overtime. Definitely report all of the hours you work, or you'll leave the summer with 15k rather than 23k.
