PE / GE in Central and Eastern Europe
Hi guys,
Hope everyone is doing well
I was wondering if there is someone on this forum who has experience working at PE or GE fund in Central and Eastern Europe? I got an offer for an associate position from a firm with $200M - $300M fund size. Gross salary is $40k, bonus is up to 40% of the base (but it is usually paid within 0 - 30% range). Carry is given only starting from VP / Director level. Deal opportunities are severely limited since the target market is small, therefore the investment team has been familiar with target companies for many years and is just waiting for the moment when these companies need to raise capital or when the founders decide to make partial cash-outs. Because of that, promotion to VP /Director is rare and random
What do you think:
1) Is there any point in pursuing PE / GE career in CEE countries or should I think about changing my field? As you see from the above, PE / GE in CEE is not even close to the industry in the USA or Western Europe.
2) What is the compensation of VP / Director in CEE at a fund within $200M - $300M?
Cash Flow Positive, hey, look at the bright side, at least you didn't get a ton of monkey shit thrown at you...here is my best guess on threads that might be helpful:
Fingers crossed that one of those helps you.
